Özet

Bu çalışma, çocuğu hastanede yatan annelerin aldığı sosyal destek ile depresyon düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma Mersin Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Araştırma ve Uygulama Hastanesi ve Mersin Devlet Hastanesi kliniklerinde çocuğu yatan ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 167 anne ile yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, Beck Depresyon Ölçeği (BDÖ), Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği (SDÖ) ve araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen demografik verilere ilişkin soruların yer aldığı anket formu kullanılmıştır. Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the correlation between hospitalized children's mothers' level of depression and they received social support. The research population included 167 mothers who had a child hospitalized at Mersin University Medical Faculty Research and Teaching Hospital and Mersin Government Hospital and who agreed to participate in the research. The Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Multidimensional Perceived Social Support Inventory (MPSSI), and a demographic data collection form developed by the researchers were used in the study. The mother's level of education, husband's level of education, husband's age and husband's occupation were found to have a significant effect on social support.
