Annelerin %43.1’i 20-24 yaş gurubunda, %51.5’i ilköğretim mezunu ve %60.9’u ev hanımıdır.
Abstract
This study was planned for the purpose of determining the level of satisfaction of women who have had vaginal childbirth by evaluating the nursing approaches from the aspect of patient rights. This descriptive type study was conducted between October 2005 and January 2006 at Denizli State Hospital with a sample of 320 mothers who agreed to participate in the study from the 460 women who had delivered vaginally during this time. Research data were collected on a sociodemographic data form and "Evaluation of Patient Rights Survey," and analysis was conducted using percentage calculation, t test, and ANOVA test. The data showed that 43.1% of the women were in the 20-24 year old age group, 51.5% were primary school graduates, 60.9% were housewives, 41.9% had been pregnant for the first time, 50.9% stated that they would choose to have childbirth at the same hospital again, and 49.4% stated that the approaches of the midwives during delivery were bad. It was also determined that 76.6% of the mothers had not previously heard about patient rights, 70.3% that they would not complain if they experienced a problem, and the reason for not complaining for 29.4% was that it would not change anything. There was a statistically significant difference between mothers' employment status, the evaluation of the midwives' approach during delivery and whether or not they would complain if they experienced a problem with their evaluation of patient rights (p
