Diş Protez temizlik ürünlerinin bakteriyolojik aktivitelerinin araştırılması

Özet

Amaç: DiĢ protezlerinin temizliği ve dezenfeksiyonunagereken önemin verilmemesi, ağız içi enfeksiyonlarla birlikteendokardit gibi sistemik en feksiyonlara da yol açabilir. Bu türenfeksiyonla rın önlenmesi veya azaltılabil mesi için uygunprotez kaide materyalinin seçimi ile birlikte protezlerintemizlenmesi ve dezenfeksiyonunu sağlayabilen etkin birürünün belirlenmesi büyük önem taĢımaktadır. AraĢtırma -mızd a, halen Türkiyede diĢ protez lerinin temizliği vedezenfeksiyonlarında kullanılan çeĢitli ürünlerin antibakteriyeletkinliklerinin araĢtırılması amaçlanmıĢtır.Materyal ve Metod: AraĢtırmamızda, 3 adet alkalenperoksit grubu efervesan diĢ protez temizleme tableti(Fittydent (Matilek -Avusturya), Corega tabs (GlaxoSmithKline,Ġrlanda), Protefix (Queisser pharma, Almanya)) ile 2 adetdezenfektan solüsyonun (Curaprox BDC 105 (haftalıkkullanımlı) (Swiss Premium Oral Care, Ġsveç), Curaprox BDC100 (Günlük kullanımlı) (Swiss Premium Oral Care, Ġsveç));dört tip protez kaide materyali deney örneklerine (Vertex(Vertex-Dental B.V, Hollanda), Rodex (Rodont, Ġtalya),Meliodent (Kulzer, Almanya), Molloplast-B (Detax, Almanya))bulaĢtırılmıĢ Staphylococcu s aureus ATCC 6538, Pseudomo -nas aeruginosa NCTC 6749 ve Bacillus subtilis var. nigerATCC 9372 bakteri suĢlarına karĢı etkinlikleri üretici firmatarafından önerilen sürelerde incelenmiĢtir.Bulgular: Denenen ürünlerin tamamının S.aureus ATCC6538 bakte riye karĢı; %100 oranında etkili olduğubelirlenmiĢtir. P.aeruginosa NCTC 6749 suĢuna karĢı ise;Fittydentin, 30 dakika temas süresinde, Corega tabs veProtefix tabletlerinin 15er dakikada, Curaprox BDC 105in ise,1. ve 7.gün sonunda da 6 saatlik temas süresinde aynı etkiyi(%100) gösterdiği belirtilmiĢtir. Curaprox BDC 100ün ise, 5dakika temas süresinde % 93 -100 arasında etkinlik sağladığıgözlenmiĢtir. B.subtilis var. niger ATCC 9372 bakteri sporuüzerinde; Curaprox BDC 105in 1. ve 7.gündeki solüsyonl a -rının %99 oranında etkili olduğu, diğer ürünlerin ise temassüre ve protez maddelerine göre Fittydentin; %97 -98,Corega tabs ın ; %91 -99, Protefixin; %68 -95, Curaprox BDC100 ün; %72 -99 gibi değiĢen oranlarda dezenfeksiyonsağladığı belirlenmiĢti r.Sonuç: Farklı tip diĢ protez kaide maddeleri üzerinde temizlikve dezenfeksiyon ürünlerinin etkinliklerinin ortamda bulunanbakterilere göre çok değiĢken olduğu, protez kaide maddesitipinin ise dezenfeksiyon üzerinde bir etkisinin olmadığıgözlenmiĢti r. Protezlerin her gün temizlenmesinin vedezenfeksiyonunun potansiyel patojen bakteriyelkontaminasyonunu önlemek için etkili bir yöntem olduğusonucuna varılmıĢtır.

Abstract

Aim : The unsufficient cleaning and disenfection of the dentures not only lead to intra -oral infections but also to systemic infections such as endocarditis, which might be lifethreatening. To prevent or reduce such infections, selectionof appropriate denture base material and effective denturecleaning or disinfecting preparations are very important. Inour study, we aimed to investigate the antibacterial activityof cleansing and disinfectant preparations currently use inTurkey. Material and Method: In ou r study, the antibacterialactivity of 3 alkaline peroxide type cleaning dentureeffervescent tablets (Fittydent (Matilek-Austria), Corega tabs(GlaxoSmithKline, Ireland), Pro tefix (Queisser pharma,Germany ) frequently use in our country and 2 disinfectant solutions (Curaprox BDC 105 (weekly use) (Swiss PremiumOral Care, Sweden), Curaprox BDC 100 (daily use) (SwissPremium Oral Care, Sweden) , were tested against four typesof denture base material samples (Vertex (Vertex-Dental B.V,Netherlands), Rodex (Rodont, Italy), Meliodent (Kulzer,Germany), Molloplast-B (Detax, Germany)) contaminatedwith Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Pseudomonasaeruginosa NCTC 6749 and Bacillus subtilis var. niger ATCC9372 at the contact times advised by the manufacturers.Res ult: It was determined that all of the preparations werefound to be 100% effective against S.aureus ATCC 6538strain. Fittydent at 30 minutes, Corega tabs and Protefix tablets at 15 minutes of each, and Curaprox BDC 105 at 6hours in the solutions prepa red in the 1.st and the end of the7.th days, were have the same activity(100%) against P.aeruginosa NCTC 6749 strain.Otherwise, Curaprox BDC 100at 5 minutes contact time was found 93 -100 % effectiveagainst the same strain. The sporicidal activity of the Curaprox BDC 105 against B.subtilis var. niger ATCC 9372 at6 hours contact times in the solutions prepared in the 1.stand the end of the 7.th days, were found to be 99%,whereas the activity of the rest of the products were varied depending on the conta ct time and denture base material and differed between 97 -98% of Fittydent ,91 -99% ofCorega tabs , 68 -95% of Protefix, 72 -99% of Curaprox BDC100.Conclusion: The effect of denture base materials on thecleaning and disinfection were very variable accord ing to thekinds of bacteria present in the test environment and havenot shown to be differed depending on the type of denturebase material. Daily cleaning or disinfection of the dentures are an effective way to prevent bacterial contamination withpoten tial pathogens .
