Özet

Midtarsal amputasyonlar alt ekstremite amputasyonları içerisinde, amputasyon sonrası gelişen ekin, varus deformiteleri ve protez uygulama zorluğu nedeniyle sık yapılmayan amputasyonlardandır. Bu makalede midtarsal amputasyonlu ve ekin deformitesi gelişen bir hastaya uygulanan üç farklı Polypropylen AFO (Ankle Foot Orthosis) tip ortoprotez ile polyester laminasyonlu klasik parsiyel ayak protezinin ekin deformitesine etkisi tartışıldı

Abstract

Midtarsal amputations are not made frequently in the lower limb amputations because of developing equinus, varus deformities after amputation and difficulties of the prosthetic fittings. In this article, a midtarsal amputee with equinus deformity was presented and discussed the effects on equinus deformity of three-different polypropylene AFO type orthoprostheses and a conventional polyester laminated partial foot prosthesis.
