HEYKELİN ÇEVRESEL SERÜVENİ1

Özet

Genel anlamda heykel olarak nitelendirilen sanat yapıtları, dünyaya ait unsurları betimleyen üç boyutlu formlar, karşılıklı etkileşim içinde bulunduğu mekâna/çevreye eklemlenen nesneler olarak görülür. Ancak zamanla, heykel ya da genel olarak sanat yapıtı, estetik bir nesne olmaktan çok bilgi nesnesi olma özelliği taşıyan bir yapıya dönüşür. Böylece ortamlar yaratan, çevresel enerjileri/olguları/yapıları kendine dâhil eden, ileriki aşamada da çevresel sorunlara işaret edip farkındalıklar yaratma çabası ve amacı güden projeler haline gelir. Bu çalışma ile çevre, dış mekân, toplum, insan, kamusal alan gibi olguların sanatın/heykelin varoluş zeminine dâhil ediliş süreci, tarihsel perspektif içerisinde incelenir. Günümüze uzanan süreçte "çevresel sanat" üst başlığı altında devam eden sanat oluşumlarının doğa, ekoloji ve çevre sorunlarına odaklanan çerçevesi ele alınır.

Abstract

In general meaning, art works characterized as sculptures are seen the three-dimensional forms describing the elements of the world/nature and the objects articulated to the space/environment that they are in interaction with. However, in course of time, sculpture or work of art with a wide scope is transformed into a structure that carries the characteristic of being a knowledge object beyond being an aesthetic object. Thus, it becomes a project, which creates environments, includes environmental energies/phenomena/structures into its body, and in the following stages, pursuing the goal and effort - pointing out raise awareness on environmental issues. With this study, the process of incorporating phenomena such as environment, outer space, society, human, public sphere into the ground of existence of art/sculpture is investigated in a historical perspective. Besides, the framework of ongoing art formations fall under the main title of "environmental art" which focuses on environmental problems, ecology and the nature is discussed in this study.
