Özet

Emir Timur (1360-1405) incelemiş bulunduğum, başkent Semerkant ve Buharada giriştiği imar çalışmalarıyla, bu kentlerde değerli eserlerin inşa edilmesini sağlamış ve Timurlu sanatı için muhteşem bir gelişmenin baş- langıcı olmuştur. Timurlu mimarlığının, dönemin şehircilik anlayışını yansıtan büyük ölçekli yapıları, geniş yüzeylerini kaplayan sırlı tuğla ve çini süslemelerle en iyi şekilde değerlendirilmiştir. Çini süslemeler, duvarlardan kapılara, kemerlere, eyvanlardan kubbelere, yapıların çeşitli yerlerinde kullanılmışlardır. Timurlu çini sanatında ortaya konulan ve geliştirilen renkli sır tekniğinin yanında, mozaik çini tekniği yaygınlığını ve gelişmesini sürdürmüştür. Sırlı tuğla ve terrakotta süslemeler de süsleme ve teknik özellikleriyle, özenle yaratılan değerler olmuşlardır. Geometrik, bitkisel, figürlü süslemeler, yazılar, süs elemanları, çadır geleneği, kumaş sanatı ve keçecilikle ilgili süslemeler ve mimarlıkla ilgili süsleme unsurları başlıca süsleyici özellikte elemanlar olarak görülmektedir. Timurlu çini sanatı, kullanım yerleri, geliştirilen çeşitlilikle, ortaya konulan tekniklerle ve süslemelerle, geniş bir çevrede, XIV. yüzyılın sonundan XV. yüzyılın ikinci yarısına uzanan önemli bir sanat dönemini ifade eder.

Abstract

Emir Timur s (1360-1405) works of improvements in the capital city Samarkand and Bukhara which I have studied, enabled building of significant works of architecture in these cities and that was the beginning of a magnificent development for the Timurid art. The enermous buildings related to city planning understanding of the era, Timurid architecture were ideally decorated with glazed bricks and tiles ornamentations that covered wide surfaces. The tile ornamentations were used in the various places of the buildings, from walls to doors and arches, from iwans to domes. In the Timurid tile work art, besides the colour glazing exhibited and developed, the mosaic tile technique sustained its prevalence and improvement. Glazed bricks and terracotta ornamentations also became merits carefully created, with ornamental and technical specialities. Ornamentation related to geometric ornamentation, ornamentation of plant figures and figurative ornamentation, inscriptions, decorative items, tent making tradition, art of cloth making, making ornamentations with felt and ornamentations related to architecture were seen principally as decorative items. Timurid tile art expresses an important era of art identified by diversity of artistic styles, ways of application tecniques and ornamentations exhibited from the end of XIV. century to the second half of XV century in the neighbourhood areas
