Özet

Modern çağa kadar güvenlik ve savunma stratejilerinin vazgeçilmez unsuru olan kaleler, bugün özgün işlevlerini tamamen kaybetmişlerdir. Bunların şanslı olanlarının restorasyon uygulamaları sonucu ömrü uzatılarak sosyal hayatımızın çeşitli ihtiyaçlarına cevap veren mekanlara dönüştürülmesi sağlanırken, bazıları da ücra yerlerde keşfedilmeyi beklemektedir. Bunlardan biri de Kisenit Kalesi'dir. Adana İli, Feke İlçesi, Güzpınarı Köyü'nde bulunan Kisenit Kalesi, 145 m²'lik bir alana oturan küçük ve mütevazı bir kale olsa da Dağlık Kilikya'da castrum plan şemasına sahip ender kalelerdendir. Rustik, kabayonu ve moloz taş kullanılarak inşa edilen kalenin duvarları günümüzde özgün yüksekliğinde değildir. Birkaç vadinin kesiştiği "V formlu" bir tepe üzerinde inşa edilen kalenin konumu, döneminin yol ağlarıyla doğrudan ilişkilidir. Yakın çevresinde herhangi bir eski yerleşim yeri kalıntısı tespit edilemeyen Kisenit Kalesi'ne en yakın eski eser, 100 m mesafede bulunan ve 16. yüzyıla tarihlenen Güzpınarı Merkez Camii'dir. Bu çalışmada, Dağlık Kilikya'dan Kapadokya'ya geçiş yolları üzerinde bulunan ve bugüne kadar herhangi bir bilimsel-resmi tespite konu olmamış Kisenit Kalesi'nin mimari özellikleri ele alınarak bölgede Ortaçağ'da kullanılan yol güzergahlarıyla ilişkisi, yeni bir öneriyle irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır

Abstract

Castles which indispensable components of the strategies of security and defense have completely lost their original function today. Luckly ones of these castles have extended their lives thanks to the restorations and turned into places which meet various needs of our social life; however, some of them wait to be explored in remote places. One of them is Kisenit Castle. Kisenit Castle, which located in the Güzpınarı Village, in Feke, in Adana, is a small and modest castle which places on area of 145 m² and it is also one of the rare castles which have scheme of castrum plan in Rough Cilicia. The walls of the castle which were built by using rustic, large crude and rubble Stone have not got their own original height. The position of the castle which was built on a “V” shaped hill at the intersection of a few valleys is directly related to the road network of that term. The nearest relic to Kisenit Castle nearby which has not been determined any remains of ancient settlements is Güzpınarı Merkez Camii which located 100m. for away and dated in 16th century. In this study, the architectural features of Kisenit Castle which places on the crossing paths from Rough Cilicia to Cappadocia and has not taken place in any scientific and official determination so far; in addition to this, the relationship among road routes used in Medieval has been tried to be examined with a new proposal
