Özet
Bodrum İlçesi’nin kent merkezinde Koruma Amaçlı İmar Planı'nda belirlenmiş Kentsel Sit Alanı'nın yerleşim dokusu incelendiğinde alanda üç farklı yerleşim alanı olduğu görülmektedir. Bunlar Kumbahçe, Merkez ve Türkkuyusu bölgeleridir. Bu bölgelerde tespit edilen konut tipleri ise Kule Tipi Evler, Musandıralı Evler ve Sakız Tipi Evlerdir. İhtiyaçlar sonucu bu konut tiplerinden yeni tipler türediği de tespit edilmiştir. Yerleşim karakterlerinin ve konut tiplerinin oluşumunda bölgenin konumunun, ikliminin, topografik ve sosyal yapısının etkili olduğu görülmektedir. Konut tipleri arasında en fazla örneğe rastlanan Sakız Tipi Evlerin özgün mimari karakteri diğer konut tiplerine oranla büyük ölçüde korunmuştur. Levanten Evlerinin ise Sakız Tipi'nden türediği kabul edilmektedir. Bu makale her iki konut tipi arasındaki plan şemasında, cephe organizasyonunda, yapım tekniklerinde ve malzemelerde olduğu kadar sosyal verilerin de dortak ve farklı özelliklerini belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır.
Abstract
The settlement characteristic of the Urban Protected Area defined in the Conservation Planfor Bodrum, define three different settlement areas which are Kumbahçe, Central District andTürkkuyusu. An examination of the traditional house types in these regions reveal three main com mon types of houses. Tower Type Houses, Houses with Musandıra and Chios Type Houses. Newtypologies were designed based main characteristics of these main types. The settlement character istics of the area and the traditional house organization is derived from the region’s location, climateand topographical and social structure. The authentic architectural characteristics of Chios TypeHouses, which are the most common one among all house types, have been preserved to a greatextent compared to the other house types. Another type is the “Levantine House” which is evaluatedas an upgraded form of Chios Type Houses. This article aims to clarify the common characteristicsand different features in terms of plan scheme, facade organization, building techniques, materialsand also the influence of urban settlement history between these two type houses.
