Two cases of osteoblastoma with atypical clinical presentations

Abstract

We report two cases of osteoblastoma evaluated with computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. The first case is an 18 -month- old girl. In our literature review, the youngest case reported is two and half years old. The second case is an aggressive osteoblastoma arising from vertebral body, which is an exceedingly rare presentation of the tumor. Osteoblastomas may be observed in all age groups and in different locations presenting with a wide spectrum of radiological and histological features. Therefore they should be taken into consideration in the differential diagnosis of all atypical vertebral bone lesions.
