Abstract
The aim of the stuay was to investigate thb ı elatıomhîpı between localization, dîstfıtutıoh acfcbîdıng to bleed and age and characters of mammaiy tmtiours As a material 30 dogs, 5 15 yeai of age and Üîffeıent bteeds were used m this sluay Öİ the 30 aogs, 15'leiners, 4 pooaies, 3 mixed' breeas, 2 pmschers, 2 German -shbphera dogs, 1 cocker, 1 Anatolian Shepheid aog, 1 seltei and 1 papillon weie presented Distribution of mammary tumours according to the types, that 'were encolintered in 30' dogs were 53 3% malignant and 46 7% benign in character Mammary tumours were' localized at ingumàl (60'%Vabaornïnal (33^3%) and thoracic (6 7%) mammary glanas Malignant tumour ratio of inguinal, abdominal ana thoracic mammary tumour^ weie 66 l^/o, 3Q°/c ana 50%, respectively Benign tumour ratio of inguinal, abaommal ana thoracic mammary tuinburs weie 33 3% 10% and '50%' respectively The attribution of mammary tumour types that were extirpatea from 16 dogs in 5-9 ages range weie 43 8%^ malignant and 56 2% benign in character and the latio of malignant turnouts Which obtained from inguinal, abdominal and thoiacit mammaiy lobes weie 50%, 20% and 100%,' lëspectively The ratio of benign tumours at inguinal and abdominal manlniaiy glands weie 50% and 80% respectively and benign turnom s were not seen at thoıacıc mammaiy lobes In 9-'years old and/oi older dogs, the1 distiibution of mammaty gland tumours Were 643% malignant and %35 7 "benign m charactel s ' The ratio of malignant 'lumbm s taken from inguinal and abdominal mamrnary lobes were 87 5% and 40%, respectively anÜ malignant tumours weren't seen at thoıacıc mammary lobes The ratio of bening tumours taken from inguinal,1 abdominal and thoracic maminary glands were 12 5%, 60% and 100%, respectively As a conclusion, the mammary tumours Were seen mostly in small breeds "and old dogs, and there was a relationship between character and localization of the tumours It has been thought that these findings should be useful in the pıognOsıs of the dogvS With the mammary tumours'
