1971-2001 yılları arasında incelenen köpek testis tümörleri

Özet

Çalışmada, 1971-2001 yılları arasında Ankara Üniversitesi, Veteriner Fakültesi, Patoloji Anabilim Dalı'nda incelenen köpek testis tümörleri değerlendirilmiştir. Bir tanesi nekropsiden olmak üzere 16 primer testis tümörünün 11 'inin (%68.75) seminom ve 5'inin (%31.25) Sertoli hücre tümörü olduğu saptanmıştır. Testis tümörü belirlenen 16 köpekten sadece 4'ünün (%25) kriptorşid olduğu dikkati çekmiştir. Tümörlü köpeklerin 4'ü (%26.6) 5 yaş ve altında, 6'sı (%40) 6-10 yaş arasında ve 5'i de (%33.3) 11 yaş üzerinde olduğu belirlenmiş, ancak birinin yaşı bildirilmemiştir. Ayrıca testis tümörü saptanan köpeklerin çok farklı ırklardan olması nedeniyle, tümör gelişiminde belirgin bir ırk yatkınlığı saptanamamıştır.

Abstract

In this study, 16 testicular tumors diagnosed in the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, An-kara University between the years 1971 and 2001 were evaluated. Eleven of these 16 cases, one of which was obtained from a syste-mic necropsy, were seminomas (68.75%) and 5 of them (31.25%) were Sertoli cell tumors. In only four of the sixteen dogs with tes-ticular tumor, cryptorchidismus (25%) were encountered. Four (26.6%) of the dogs with tumor were five years old or younger, 6 of them (40%) were between 9-10 years old, 5 of them (33.3%) were eleven years old or older, but in one case, the age of the dog was not notified. And also as the dogs in the study were from various species, no correlation between species and tumor development were found.
