Özet
Sunulan çalışmada, malign meme tümörü bulunan köpeklerde unilateral mastektomi operasyonuyla birlikte gerçekleşti-rilen immunoterapinin, yeni tümör oluşumu üzerine etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Birinci gruptaki 10 hayvana preoperatif 2 gün Baypamun® uygulanıp komple unilateral mastektomi ile kitle uzaklaştırıldı. Postoperatif dönemde ise enjeksiyonlar 1., 3., 5., 8. günlerde, takiben l., 2., 3., 4., 5., 6. aylarda tekrarlandı. Kontrol grubundaki 10 köpekte ise sadece operasyon uygulanıp tedavi uygu-lanmadı. Baypamun® uygulanan 10 olgudan 3'ünde yeni tümör oluşumları ve uzaklaştırılmayan zincirde bulunan tümörlerde büyüme gözlendi. İlk klinik muayenede belirlenen lenf düğümü büyümeleri geriledi. Sadece komple unilateral mastektomi yapılarak tedavi edilen kontrol grubundaki köpeklerde, 10 olgudan altısında yeni tümörler oluştu ve bu 6 hayvandan ikisinde akciğerlerde de odaklar belirlendi. Yapılan çalışmada malign tümörlerde sadece unilateral mastektomi operasyonuyla tedavinin yeni tümör oluşumlarının önlenmesinde ve lenf düğümündeki büyümelerin gerilemesinde etkili bir yöntem olmadığı, yeni tümörlerin oluşumunun engellen-mesinde immun sistemi uyarıcı bir ilaç olan Baypamun® 'un etkili olduğu gözlenmiştir.
Abstract
The objective of the present study was to research the effects of immunotherapeotic treatment applied together with the operation on the formation of new masses in dogs with malign mammary tumours. In the 1st group, Baypamun® solution has been applied for two days before the operation, then comple unilateral mastectomy has been performed, the injections were repeated at the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 8th days and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th months of postoperative period. In the control group, only comple unilateral mastectomy hâs been carried out. In the Baypamun® group, the new tumour formations have been determined on 3 cases of 10 ani-mals. The masses on the other chain of mammary glands that has not been extirpated have become bigger. The lymph node involve-ments observed on the first examination were regresssed. In the control group in which the dogs were treated only with comple uni-lateral mastectomy the new tumour formations have been observed in 6 cases of 10 dogs and the lung metastasis were determined in 2 cases. In the study, it has been concluded that only unilateral mastectomy is not a sufficient treatment for the prevention of new tumour formations and for the regression of lymph node involvment. On the other hand Baypamun® applied with the operation was found to be effective for the treatment of malign mammary tumours in the bitch.
