Tinea pedis'i olmayan kontrol grubunun parmak aralarından %90 S. epidermidis, %15 Corynebacterium cinsi ve %10 E. coli izole edilmiş ancak S. aureus' a rastlanmamıştır.
Abstract
In this study, investigation of bacterial flora and fungi species at infection site of 775 tinea pedis patients diagnosed with native preparations and culturing and clarification of the relationship between these microorganisms is aimed. Trichophyton rubrum is isolated as the most common cause of tinea pedis and it is followed by Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Microsporum canis and Epidermophyton floccosum, respectively. It is determined that the most frequently seen bacteria at infection site of the patients with tinea pedis are Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Corynebacterium spp. In the control group without tinea pedis 90% S. epidermidis, 15% Corynebacterium spp. and 10% E. coli is isolated from web space while S. aureus hasn't been found. S. aureus was isolated from all the patients with lymphangitis. As a result, it is estimated that dermatophyte infection at web space may change bacterial flora thus may cause the colonization of pathogen Staphylococcus spp. and skin disease like lymphangitis.
