Özet

Sınırsız tüketim olgusunun zaruri bir durum olarak sunulduğu günümüzde, çevrenin sahip olduğukaynaklar üzerinde büyük bir baskı bulunmaktadır. Bireylerin hazlarının tatmini için hızla kaynaklarıntüketildiği ve hızla çevrenin yok edildiği bu çağda, çevreyi korumanın önemi her geçen gün önemkazanmaktadır. Bu bakımdan çevresel konularda bilinç kazanmış, çevresel duyarlılık ve farkındalıkları yüksekbireyler yetiştirmesi önem arz etmektedir. Üniversite öğrencileri, hem geleceğin çeşitli kurumları etkileyecekve yönlendirecek profesyonel kişileri olarak, hem de yeni nesillerin yetiştirilmesinde önemli görevlere sahipebeveynleri olarak temiz ve sağlıklı çevrenin sürdürülebilirliğinde etken olacaklardır. Bu bağlamda üniversiteöğrencilerinin çevresel konulardaki yaklaşımlarının ne durumda olduğu ve çevresel konularda ne gibieksikliklerin olduğunu tespit etmek çevresel konuların çözümünde etken olacaktır. Çalışmada öncelikle çevretoplum, çevre-tüketim kültürü ilişkileri ele alınmış ve çevresel kavramlar açıklanmıştır. Ardından Tokat ilmerkezinde öğrenim gören üniversite öğrencilerinin çevresel tutum, farkındalık, duyarlılık ve davranışalgılarını tespit etmeye yönelik olarak 1457 öğrenciye yönelik bir alan çalışmasına yer verilmiştir. Elde edilenbulgular sonuç bölümünde tartışılmıştır.

Abstract

There is quite a lot of pressure on the resources of the environment today, where the fact of unlimited consumption to be presented as an necessary situation. In this age, where resources are quickly consumed for the satisfaction of individuals' pleasures and the environment is rapidly destroyed, the importance of protecting the environment is gaining importance every day. In this sense, it is important to raise consciousness of environmental issues and to raise individuals with high level of environmental consciousness. University students, that both as people who will influence the future of various institutions and as parents with important roles in the upbringing of new generations, will be influential in the sustainability of a clean and healthy environment. In this context, determining how the university students' approaches to environmental issues are and what are the deficiencies in environmental issues will be effective in solving. In the study, firstly, environment-society, environment-consumption culture relations and environmental concepts are explained. Then, a field study was conducted for 1457 students in order to determine environmental attitude, consciousness, sensitivity and behavior perceptions of university students studying in Tokat city center. The findings are discussed in the conclusion section.
