Özet

Bu klinik araştırmada TENS'in apikal re-zeksiyon ameliyatlarından sonra oluşan postoperatif ağnya olan etkisi değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma için seçilen 20 hastanın 10'u deney, 10'u kontrol grubu olarak seçilmiştir. Deney grubuna 4 gün boyunca 20 dakikalık seanslar uygulanmıştır. Postoperatif dönemdeki ağn şiddeti gör¬sel ve sözsel ağrı skalalan kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bu skalalardaki verilerin istatistiksel değerlendirmesi sonucunda TENS'in ağrı üzerine belirgin bir etkisi olduğu sonucuna varılmış ve deney grubundaki hastala-nn postoperatif dönemi daha rahat geçirip, kontrol grubuna göre daha az ağrı kesici kullandıklan ortaya çıkmıştır.

Abstract

In this clinical study the effect of TENS on postoperative pain after apicale re¬section operations has been evaluated. Out of 20 patients 10 were chosen as to be the experimental group, whereas the other 10 fellows were chosen as the control group. The experimental group was treated by TENS for 20 minutes every time, for four days. The pain intersity was evaluated by using skales. The statistical analysis of these revealed that the patients treated with TENS showed obvious pain relief in contrast to the control group.
