Özet
Amaç: Tükenmişlik konusunda yapılmış birçok tamm olmasına rağmen günümüzde kabul gören en yaygın "tükenmişlik'tanımı Maslach ve arkadaşları tarafından yapılan ve tükenmişli ği üç boyutlu olarak algılayan tanımdır. Acil servis (AS)personeli iş ortamının yoğunluğu, bakım verilen hastaların ciddiyeti, vardiya şeklinde çalışma programı nedeniyle süreklistres altındadır. Bu çalışmada Tıp Fakülteleri (TF) ile Sağlık Bakanlığı Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastaneleri 'nde (EAH) görevyapmakta olan Acil Tıp Asistanlarımn (ATA) tükenmişlik düzeylerinin karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır.Materyal ve Metod: Bu çalışma Ankara Numune Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi etik kurulundan onay alınarakMayıs--Ağustos 2011 tarihleri arasında anket yöntemiyle yapılmıştır. Çalışmaya EAH'den 116 ATA, TF'den 90 ATAolmak üzere toplam 206 ATA alınmıştır. Anket yöntemiyle elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizleri SPSS 15 programıile yapılmıştır. İstatistiksel analizlerde ki--kare, İndependent Sample testi ve Oneway Anova testi kullanılmıştır. p
Abstract
Objective: Although there are many definitions of the 'burnout syndrome', the most widely used definition is the oneintroduced by Maslach et al, which is three-dimensional description of the syndrome. Emergency department (ED) staffare under constant stress owin to crowded working conditions, seriousness of ED cases, and working in shifts. This studyaimed to assess and compare the burnout levels of ED Residents (EDRs) working at Medical Faculty (MF) and Trainingand Research Hospitals (TRHs) of Ministry of Health, by Maslach burnout scale and to investigate the factors associatedwith the burnout level.Materials and Methods: This study was approved by the local ethics committee of Ankara Numune Training andResearch Hospital and conducted with the questionnaire method between May and August 2011 total of 206 EDRs wereincluded, 116 being from TRHs and 90 from MF. The study data were analyzed using SPSS 15 software package.Chi-square test, Independent samples test, and One way ANOVA test were used for statistical analyses. significancelevel of 0,05 was accepted for all statistical analyses.Results: EDRs working at TRHs had significantly higher emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and total scorescompared to EDRs working at MF (p0.05).Conclusion: This study found that EDRs working at TRHs were more subject to burnout compared to EDRsworking at MF.
