Özet
Konut (menzil) insan yaşamındaki barınma ihtiyacının karşılanmasını sağ- lamaya yönelik en temel ihtiyaçlardan biridir. Konut tarzları ve tarihsel süreçiçerisinde meydana gelen yapısal değişiklikler bir kültürün yaşama bakışınınhikâyesini de ifade eder. Osmanlı dönemi söz konusu olduğunda özellikle sanat tarihi ve mimarlık ça- lışmalarında yeterince çalışma olmakla birlikte, bugün artık mevcut olmayankonutlar ve onları oluşturan ana bölümlerin tarihsel alandaki örneklerininnicelik ve nitelikleri hakkında daha az bilgi mevcuttur. Şeriyye sicillerindekimülk satışlarıyla alakalı hüccetlerde yer alan konut tasvirleri eksik olan bilgileri kısmen tamamlamaktadır. Bu sebeple 1724-1725 yılında İstanbul Suriçiile Eyüp ve Hasköy bölgeleri çalışmanın merkezi olmuş ve kaynak olarak üçsicilde (İstanbul Şeriyye Sicilleri: 2/135, 7/124, 7/125) yer alan mülk satışlarıkullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak incelenen dönemdeki Osmanlı konutu ile sanattarihçilerinin tarihsel konut tipolojileri ilişkisi ortaya konulabilmiştir.
Abstract
Dwelling has been very important in people s lives because of the need ofprotection from the outside world. House styles and the structural changesoccur in historical process tells the story about the worldview of a culture.Given this, while looking at the history of these houses we can also see thehistory of the culture. Houses are not only made for protection from cold and hot, but also theyserve as shelter for private life. Every culture has created its own homestyle. Therefore the signs of human culture can be followed by looking at thehistory of home they lived in. In regard to the Ottoman era, alot of studies about this top ic can be f ound atdifferent fields especially in the history of art and architecture. Unf ortunetely the inf ormation about the buildings that do not exist anymoreare mostly theoretical. The house descriptions appear in the documentsrelated with p rop erty sales in court records can be considered as thecomplement for the missing information. Given this, Istabul Suriçi, Eyüp andHasköy areas in 1724-1725 are chosen as the focus of this study and propertysales in three records (İstanbul Court Records: 2/135, 7/124, 7/125) are usedas source. As a result, in this study the relationship between the Ottomanhouse in the related p eriod and the historical house typ ologies set f orth bythe art historians is tried to be shown.
