Özet
Osmanlı Devleti I.Dünya Savaşı başladığında istemeyerek dahi olsa kendisini savaşın içinde bulmuştu.
Abstract
Abstract When World War I started, the Ottoman Empire had involuntarily found itself in a war. Even if it tried hard to turn this situation to its advantage and achieve gains in the war, it could not get free from taking sides with defeated countries and as a consequence it sustained defeats in the second half of the war. The victorious countries put into practice the plans they made on the Ottoman Empire during the war and continued occupation even after the armistice that ends the war. The occupation of Izmir by Greeks just after the Mudros Armistice had set Anatolian people into motion. It can be said that the Greek occupation and the countrywide interventions of the Allied Forces in the following days probably sped up the war of independence further. This article involves the intervention of the Allied Forces in the regions they dominated after the occupation of Izmir and the reactions occurred against this situation.
