Özet

Ülseratif kolit'in (ÜK) başlangıç ve alevlenmele¬rinde mevsimsel değişikliklerin etkisini araştıran birçok çalışma çelişkili sonuçlar vermiştir. Bu çalışmamıza; înflamatuvar Barsak Hastalıkları Ünitesinde, düzenli olarak takip edilen ve aktivasyon nedeni saptanamayan 124 hasta alınmıştır. 124 hasta 1722 ay takip edilmiş¬tir. Bu süre içerisinde 164 relaps ve 113 başlangıç sap¬tandı. Aylara ve mevsimlere göre başlangıç ve relaps is¬tatistiksel olarak anlamsız bulundu. (Sırasıylap= 0.79, p=0.90, p= 0.91, p= 0.87).

Abstract

Seasonal variation in the onset and relapse of ulcerative colitis have been studied with conflicting results. In this study; records of 124 patients with ulce¬rative colitis were evaluated. These patients were regu¬larly observed by Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unit and no etiologic agent responsible for the relapses was estab¬lished. 124 patients were held subject to case studies for a total of 1722 months. During this period 164 relapses and 113 onsets were reported. Our results showed that neither monthly nor seasonal incidence of onset and re¬lapse of ulcerative colitis were statistically significant (respectively;p= 0.79, p= 0.90, p= 0.91, p= 0.87).
