Özet

Amaç: Diş hekimleri üzerinde şiddet sıklığını, şiddetin nedenleri ve alınabilecek önlemleri tespit etmektir. Yöntem: Kesitsel tipte olan bu araştırma, Bülent Ecevit Üniversite si Diş Hekimliği Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi’nde 01.12.2018- 01.06.2019 tarihleri arasında yapılmıştır. Araştırma evrenini, Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi’nde ilgili tarihlerde çalışan 67 diş hekimi oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem seçilmeden tüm evrene ulaşılması planlanmış, 55 kişiye (%82.0) ulaşılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında anket formu kullanıl mıştır. Bulgular: Diş hekimlerinin %30.9’u meslek hayatında şiddete ma ruz kalırken, %16.4’ü son bir yılda şiddete uğramıştır. Şiddete uğra yan diş hekimlerinin %94.1’i hastalar tarafından şiddete uğramıştır. Diş hekimlerinin çoğunluğu (%76.4) sağlıkta şiddet nedeni olarak sağlık politikalarını belirtmiştir. Şiddet sonrası en sık görülen etki iş doyumunda azalmadır (%58.8). Şiddete uğrayan diş hekimlerinin hepsi sağlık politikalarıyla önlem alarak şiddetin önlenebileceğini belirtmiştir. Sonuç: Sağlık hizmetlerinin sunumunda önemli rol alan diş hekim leri sağlıkta şiddetin mağduru olmuştur.

Abstract

Aim: To determine the frequency of violence on dentists, the causes of violence and the measures that can be taken. Method: This cross-sectional study was carried out in Bulent Ece vit University Dentistry Application and Research Center between 01.12.2018-01.06.2019. The research universe is composed of 67 dentists working at Bulent Ecevit University Dentistry Application and Research Center . It was planned to reach the entire universe without selecting the sample, 55 people (82.0%) were reached. A questionnaire was used to collect the data. Findings: While 30.9% of the dentists were exposed to violence in their professional life, 16.4% of them were exposed to violence in the last year. 94.1% of the dentists who have been subjected to violence have been subjected to violence by patients. The majority of dentists (76.4%) stated the health policies as the cause of violence. The most common effect after violence is a decrease in job satisfaction (58.8%). All dentists exposed to violence stated that violence can be prevented by taking precautions with health policies. Conclusion: Dentists, who played an important role in the provision of health services, have been victims of violence in health.
