Özet
Mezopotamya’daki birçok şehir tarihsel süreçte defalarca kuşatılmıştır. Bu bölgedeki şehirler içerisinde ayrı bir yere sahip olan Nusaybin, İslam fetihlerine kadar Roma-İran sınır hattını şekillendiren kritik bir pozisyonda bulunması hasebiyle bu tür kuşatmaları birçok kez yaşamış bir şehirdir. Özellikle muhteris Sasani kralı II. Şapur (309-379)’un üç zorlu kuşatması bu şehrin tarihinde ayrı bir yere sahiptir. Nusaybin, her ne kadar İslam hâkimiyeti sonrası sınırların ortadan kalkmasıyla stratejik önemini kaybetmişse de bölgede süregelen siyasi çekişmeler bağlamında birçok zorlu kuşatmaya maruz kalmıştır. Bunlar arasında en şiddetli olanı h. 486/m. 1093 yılında Suriye Selçuklu meliki Tacü’d-devle Tutuş eliyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Şehir halkının direnmesi sebebiyle kılıç zoruyla ele geçirilen şehirde ağır bir yağma icra edildiği için bu kuşatma dönemin Müslüman yazarlarının zihninde acı izler bırakmış ve esefle anılmıştır. Bu makalede, Tutuş tarafından gerçekleştirilen bu sıra dışı kuşatmanın detayları kaynaklar ışığında ortaya konmaya çalışılacaktır
Abstract
A lot of cities in Mesopotamia have been surrounded for many times in the historical process. Nisibis, a city that draws the Roman-Iranian border line, which has a separate place among the cities in this region, has experienced the most difficult siege. Especially Shapur II [309-379] the king of the Sasanids, three tough sieges of has a separate importance in the history of this city. Although Nisibis lost his strategic position after the Islamic domination of the borders, in the context of ongoing political contests in the region this city was subjected to many difficult sieges during this period. Among these, the most violent one was realized in 1093 by Tajuddawla Tutush the Saldjuqid prince. This siege, which Tutus seized forcibly due to the resistance of the people, left traces of pain in the minds of Muslim writers of the period and was sadly remembered. In this article the details of this extraordinary siege of Nisibis will be tried to be revealed in the light of resources.
