Özet
Amaç: Araştırma hemşirelik öğrencilerinin meslek seçimi ile sağlık algısı arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesi amacı ile yapılmıştır. Materyal ve Metot: Tanımlayıcı korelasyonel türde yapılan araştır maya hemşirelik bölümünde okuyan 411 öğrenci alınmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Hemşirelikte Meslek Seçimi Öl çeği (HMSÖ) ve Sağlık Algısı Ölçeği (SAÖ) kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %31,6’sı 4.sınıf, %79,8’i kızdır.
Abstract
Aim: The research was carried out to determine the relationship between nursing students’ choice of profession and their perception of health. Materials and Methods: In the descriptive correlation study, 411 students studying in the nursing department were included. The Per sonal Information Form, the Vocational Choices in Entering Nur sing Scale (VCENS) and the Health Perception Scale (HPS) were used to collect the data. Results: 31,6% of the students participating in the research are 4th grade, 79,8% are girls. The students’ total HPS score average was 48,89±5,16; VCENS score was 54,27±7,17. There is a significant difference between the total HPS score averages and the students’ level of satisfaction with their class and department (p<0,05). There is a statistically significant difference between the total score ave rages of VCENS and the students’ satisfaction with the department they study, the reason for choosing the profession, and their thoughts on the perception of the profession in society (p<0,05). A strong and positive significant relationship was determined between HPS and VCENS-Survival Motivation sub-dimension (r=0,814; p<0,05). Conclusion: Students who are satisfied with the nursing department have higher health perceptions.
