Abstract
Cinema and religion has always been interrelated. Religion[s] have always constitute a subject for cinema, and in Turkish cinema a lot of films are shooted either about religion or with a religious view. But the majority of films, related to religion, have no historical and social context and have a similar template. In the history of Turkish cinema for the first time the film, named Takva, handled the question of religion in its historical and social context and that.s why it worths analysing. In that context in this article the content of the film of Takva was analysed through textual analysis, so that the ideological aprroach of film related to religion (and sects) was revealed.
