Özet

Amaç: Yanık sonrası bakım imkânlarının gelişmesi ve mortalite/morbidite oranlarının düşmesi ile birlikte psikiyatrik rehabilitasyon önem kazanmıştır. Yanık travması sonrası inkâr, öfke, suçluluk duygusu, konfüzyon, utanç, kaygı, üzüntü, sinirlilik gibi psikiyatrik belirtiler gözlenebilir. Deliryum, depresyon, anksiyete, travma sonrası stres bozukluğu, cinsel sorunlar gibi psikiyatrik rahatsızlıklar gelişebilir. Bu belirti ve rahatsızlıklar düzenli görüşmeler ve yapılacak uygun psikometrik testlerle araştırılmalıdır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, güncel literatür bilgileri ışığında yanık hastalarının psikolojik rehabilitasyon sürecinin irdelenmesidir.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu çalışma temel ve güncel literatür bilgileri gözden geçirilerek ele alınmıştır. Yanık hastalarının psikolojik tanı, tedavi ve rehabilitasyon sürecinde gerekli veriler ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışma esnasında Helsinki Deklarasyonu ilkelerine uyulmuştur.Bulgular: Tedavi ve rehabilitasyon süreci, hekim, hemşire, diyetisyen, psikolog, sosyal hizmet uzmanı, ilgili diğer sağlık çalışanlarından oluşan ve yanıklı hastanın ve bakım sağlayan yakınlarının gereksinimlerini karşılayan multidisipliner bir ekip çalışmasını gerektirir. Bu ekip, hastanın ve ailesinin gerek hastane sürecinde, gerekse sosyal ortamında yaşayabileceği tüm sorunlarda gerekli desteği vermek için gayret göstermelidir. Sonuç: Yanık yaralanması sırasında ya da sonrasında ortaya çıkan psikiyatrik belirtilerin etkin bir şekilde değerlendirilmesi ve uygun şekilde tedavi edilmesi ile hastaların yaşam kalitesinde belirgin iyileşme olduğu gözlenmektedir

Abstract

Objective: Psychiatric rehabilitation has gained significance owing to improved healthcare facilities for burn injuries and decreased mortality/morbidity rates. Burn traumas may result in psychiatric signs such as denial, anger, guilt, confusion, disgrace, anxiety, distress, and nervousness. Psychiatric disorders such as delirium, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and sexual problems can also be encountered. Therefore, it is necessary to look for these signs and disorders through regular sessions with burn patients and appropriate psychometric tests. This study aims at examining the process of psychological rehabilitation for burn patients in light of the current literature.Material and Methods: This study has been carried out in the light of the main and current literature review. The study intends to put forth the data observed in the course of the psychological diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of burn patients. The study has been conducted in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration Guidelines.Results: Treatment and rehabilitation process requires a multidisciplinary teamwork that consists of physicians, dieticians, psychologists, social service specialists, and other healthcare workers who can meet the needs of burn patients and their families. It is necessary for the team to contribute both to the hospitalization process and the social environment of the patients and their families.Conclusion: It is observed that the quality of life of these patients can be considerably improved with the effective assessment of psychiatric signs that occur during or after the injury and with appropriate treatment methods
