Özet

Kömür madenlerde çıkarılması, nakli, son üretimi ve tüketimi aşamalarında atıkları ve taşıdığı diğer sağlık tehditleri ile insan ve çevre sağlığına zarar verir. Kömürün madenlerde çıkartılması, depolanması, nakli, termik santrallerde yakılması sonucu ortaya çıkan katı, sıvı ve gaz atıkların bir bütün olarak insan sağlığına ve çevreye verdiği zararları gerek ülkemizde; gerekse diğer ülkelerde yapılmış bir bütünleşik çalışma yoktur.

Abstract

Coal mining does harm to human and environmental health through its wastes and the other health threats posed during the extraction, transportation, processing and consumption stages. There is no meta-analysis conducted either in Turkey or in other countries on the harms of solid, liquid and gaseous wastes generated during the extraction, storage, transportation of the coal and in consequence of its combustion in thermal power plants to human health and environment.
