Abstract
: In the neoliberal period, universities transformed along with the commercialization and privatization policies based on the commodification of knowledge and education. In this study, the main causes and ef ects of this dif erentiation, by considering transformation in Turkey, emphasizes that we can not speak of a homogenous university. In this regard, a classification is proposed to address the universities that have been oscillated between catching up with the global and provincialization by integrating with the national and the local
