Angaje bir sosyolog: Robert Castel

Özet

Robert Castelin çalışmalarının tanıtıldığı bu yazıda gerek Castelin bir insan olarak portresi gerek yöntemsel tercihleri gerekse psikiyatri, psikanaliz, risklerin yönetimi, ücretli çalışma, sosyal güvencesizlik ve mensubiyet yitimi gibi arşınlayabildiği sahalar aracılığıyla Castelin toplumbilimine katkısının derin birliğini göstermeye gayret edeceğiz. Bu tutarlılığı/bütünlüğü anımsatmak için üç noktanın; en kırılgan grupların yanında yer alışındaki kararlılık, sosyal sorunun/sorunların kökenine inebilmek için benimsediği soybilimsel yöntem ve sürekli yinelenen mensubiyet yitimi biçimleriyle mücadele edebilmek için önerdiği çözümlemelerin altı çizilecektir.

Abstract

In this presentation of the work of Robert Castel, we will endeavor to demonstrate the profound unity of his sociological contribution through his portrait as a man, his methodological choices and the fields of research that he could stride through: Psychiatry, psychoanalysis, risk management, wage labor, social insecurity, disaffil- iation. Three points will be emphasized to discuss the consistency of his work: His systematic commitment to the most vulnerable populations, his genealogical ap- proach to deepen the social question(s), and his pertinent analyses to fight against the re-emerging/recurring forms of disaffiliation.
