GRAFİK BİR SEMBOL OLARAK ANADOLU SELÇUKLULARINDA ÇİFT BAŞLI KARTAL

Özet

Çift başlı kartal sembolü, birçok medeniyet tarafından yüzyıllardır kullanılan en eski grafik sembollerden biridir. Yapılan çalışmalarda, çift başlı kartal sembolünün eski Türk inançları ve Türk mitolojisinde oldukça önemli bir sembol olduğu ve Anadolu Selçuklu döneminde devlet hayatında ve sosyo-kültürel birçok alanda yer bulduğu görülmektedir. Bu araştırma kapsamında Türk inanç ve mitolojisinde çift başlı kartal sembolünün yeri ve Anadolu Selçuklu Dönemi’ne taşınıp nasıl iktidar sembolü haline geldiği ele alınarak bir grafik tasarım imgesi olarak çözümlemesi yapılacaktır. Anadolu Selçuklu Dönemi’nde mimaride, mezar abilederinde, seramik ve ahşap saray kaplamalarında, halı, kumaş ve dokumalarında, çinilerde, sikkelerde ve daha birçok alanda etkin olarak kullanılan bu sembole bir takım anlamlar yüklenerek nasıl bir iletişim öğesine dönüştüğü ve neden grafik sembol sayılması gerektiği açıklığa kavuşturulacaktır.

Abstract

The double headed eagle symbol is one of the oldest graphic symbols used by many civilizations for centuries. It is seen that the double-headed eagle symbol is a very important symbol in ancient Turkish beliefs and Turkish mythology and that there are many socio-cultural places in the state life and Anatolian Seljuk period. Within the scope of this research, the place of the double-headed eagle symbol in Turkish faith and mythology and how it has moved into the Anatolian Seljuk period and become a symbol of power will be analyzed as a graphic design image. In the period of Anatolian Seljuk period, this symbol which is used effectively in the architecture, the tombs, the ceramics and the wooden palace covers, the carpets, the fabrics and the weavings, the chines, the coats and many other fields are loaded with some meanings to explain how to turn into a communication element and why it should be considered as a graphic symbol. It will be resolved.
