Özet

Lingual tiroid, tiroid bezinin dil foramen çekumundan aşağı inmesindeki yetersizliğe bağlı olarak tiroglossal kanal trakti boyunca ektopik tiroid dokusu kalmasıdır. Dil en sık yerleşim yeridir. Biz, biri asemptomatik ve diğerinde ise basıya bağlı bulguları olan ve her ikisinde de subklinik hipotiroidizm bulunan iki lingual tiroid olgusunu klinik, laboratuar ve görüntüleme bulguları ile sunduk.

Abstract

Two cases of the lingual thyroid Lingual thyroid is a rare anomaly which is due to failure of the descent of thyroid gland from foramen caecum of tongue to lower neck and remaining of residual thyroid tissue along the thyroglossal duct. Tongue is the most common location. We report 2 lingual thyroid cases, one being symptomatic whereas the other asymptomatic and both are in subclinic hypothyroidism with clinical, laboratory and imaging findings.
