Özet

Amaç: Kütahya ilindeki devlet hastanesi ve iki özel diyaliz ünitesinde bir yıl boyunca hemodiyaliz tedavisi alan hastaların sosyodemografik ve hemodiyaliz (HD) özelliklerinin irdelenmesi amaçlandı Materyal Metod: Kütahya ilinde iki diyaliz ünitesinde tedavi gören 149 diyaliz hastasının klinik ve diyaliz dosyaları incelenerek sosyodemografik verileri elde edildi. Çalışmada sosyodemografik özellikler olarak yaş, cinsiyet, medeni durum, öğrenim durumu, gelir seviyesi, sosyal güvence, ikamet yeri, ilk tanının konulduğu yer, alışkanlıklar, kronik böbrek yetmezliği etiyolojisi ve eşlik eden hastalıklar araştırıldı. Bulgular: Hastaların yaş ortalamaları 56.1± 16.3 (16-94) (% 47.0 erkek, %53.0 kadın), % 67.1 evli, % 25.5 dul, % 7.4 bekar idi. Hastalarımızın % 22.8 okuma yazma bilmiyordu ve % 59.7 ilkokul mezunuydu. Hastaların % 71.81’i il merkezinde oturuyordu.

Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the sociodemographic and hemodialytic characteristics of prevelant hemodialysed patients in the dialysis unit of the Kütahya state hospital and private dialysis unit. Methods: Sociodemographic and hemodialysis data of prevelant 149 patients hemodialysed were collected from their clinics and dialysis records. Age, gender, marital, educational, and economic status, social assurance, area of residence, centre of primary diagnosis, habits, etiology of chronic renal failure and various comorbidities were investigated as sociodemographic characteristics. Results: The mean age was 56.1± 16.3 (16-94) years. Their genders were 47.0% male and 53.0% female. They were 67.1% married, 25.5% widowed, and 7.4% single. 22.8% of the patients did not have any education. 59.7% of the patients had primary education. 71.8% of the patients had lived in a city center. 35.6% of the patients had high socioeconomic income. The most common cause of the renal failure was diabetes mellitus having been observed in 41 (27.5%) of the cases. Hepatitis C and hepatitis B were positive in 22 (14.8%) and 1 (0.7%) patients, respectively. There was no HIV positivity in any patient. Conclusion: Diabetic nephropathy is the most common cause for the etiology of the renal failure in our cases. We think that lower socieconomic level and unconsciousness of the patients concerning their disease, consequently hitch of close follow-up may be the important risk factors for the progression of the renal failure.
