Abstract

Epidermolysis bullosa is an autosomal recessive disease characterized with spontaneous or posttraumatic bullae formation of the skin and mucosal membranes. Patients undergo various types of surgical procedures because of not only the complications related to the disease itself, but also for various reasons. Either the surgical procedures or the anaesthetic interventions cause new bullae formations and the approaches during the whole procedure are of important for these patients. The aim of this case report is to share the successful anaesthetic management of an epidermolysis bullosa patient undergoing single port cholecystectomy and appendectomy.
