Kur’an, Hz. İsmâil’in sabrına, teslimiyetine ve güzel ahlakına da dikkatleri çekmiştir. Zira Hz. İbrahim rüyasında oğlu Hz. İsmâil’i boğazladığını görmüştü. Ancak İsmâil’in boynuna dayanan bıçak onu kesmemiştir. Allah, onlara gökten bir hayvan kurbanı göndermiştir. Hz. İsmâil’in, Hz. İbrahim’in arasına girmiştir. Bu nedenle Allah, oğlunu kurban etmesini isteyerek Hz. İbrahim’i imtihan etmek istemiştir. Bununla Allah Hz. İbrahim’den kalbini Allah’tan başka şeylerden temizlemesini ve iki dostun arasına hiçbir kimsenin girmemesini istemiştir. Böylece Hz. İbrahim emre itaat etmiş ve oğlunu kurban etmeye karar vererek Allah ile kendi arasına hiçbir kimsenin giremeyeceğini göstermiştir. Sonuçta o ve oğlu İsmâil sabır ve teslimiyetleriyle imtihanı kazananlardan olmuştur.

Abstract

The Prophet Abraham, who could not have a child despite his advanced age, was first heralded with Ismail and then Ishaq. Both of his children are mentioned among the prophets in the Qur’an. The Qur’an also drew attention to Ismail’s patience, surrender, and good morals. Because Prophet Abraham had seen in his dream that he had cut his son Ismail. Knowing that this is a revelation from Allah, Prophet Abraham explained this to his son Ismail. He said “do what is ordered” with great patience and surrender without hesitation. So Prophet Abraham laid him down to blindfold him and blindfolded him. However, the knife that rested on Ismail's neck did not cut it. Allah sent an animal victim from the sky to them. The incident of Ismail's sacrifice by Prophet Ibrahim was also handled and interpreted by the Isharî tafsir. In this regard, they dealt with the incident of sacrifice in the context of surrender and trial. According to them, after Ismail was born, an innate love was formed in the heart of Prophet Abraham. This love has come between Allah and Prophet Abraham, who are friends with each other. Therefore, Allah wanted to test Prophet Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his son. With this, Allah asked Prophet Abraham to clean his heart from things other than Allah and that no one should enter between the two friends. Thus, Prophet Abraham obeyed the order and decided to sacrifice his son and showed that no one could enter between Allah and himself. After all, he and his son Ismail were among those who won the test with their patience and surrender.
