Özet
Méniére Hastalığı düzenli bir seyir göstermeyen ve sıklıkla sonuçta iç kulakta kalıcı hasara götürebilen kronik ve iler-leyici bir hastalıktır. Bu hastalığa tanı koymak her zaman kolay olmamaktadır. Méniére Hastalığın tanısını koymakta uygu-lanagelen yöntem, bu hastalıkta rastlanan semptom ve bulguları hastalarda aramakla gerçekleşir. Bu çalışmada Méniére Hastalığı tanısı konan hastaların klinik tanımlanmakta ve değerlendirilmektedir. Özet olarak, bu çalış-mada alman sonuçlar, AAO-HNS İşitme ve Denge Komisyonunun 1985 yılında yayınladığı tanı kriterleriyle uyum içindedir
Abstract
Ménière's Disease is a chronic and progressive condition affecting both teh hearing and balance functions of many individuals. Diagnosis of this condition is mainly based on the triad of symptoms in patients suffering from both audi-tory and vestibular dysfunctions. Therefore, the symptom complex encountered in this group of patients is fairly important. In this paper, clinical presentation of the patients with Ménière's Disease is described and evaluated. The main complaint, the time it takes to recover from episodic vertigo, medical treatment schedule used in patientsm, occurence of the disease in the fa-mily and the presence of the migraine, all questioned in the patient group. The conclusion of this paper is in agreement with the results of the AAO-HNS, Committe on Hearing and Equilibrium, dated 1985.
