Özet
Bu çalışmada Tanzimat sonrası Türk düşüncesinin önemli figürlerinden Ahmed Midhat'm Türkiye'de felsefenin modem kazanımlarıyla yeniden inşası sürecine katkıları, özellikle de II. Meşrutiyet döneminde, yaşamının son birkaç yılı içinde Dârülfünun'da verdiği "Tarih-i Hikmet" dersleri ekseninde hazırladığı felsefe tarihi metinleri ele alınmıştır. II. Meşrutiyet döneminde Emrullah Efendi tarafından verilen "İlm-i Hikmet" ve "Tarih-i İlm-i Hikmet" adlı derslerle felsefe tarihini içerecek bir programa kavuşan Dârül-fünun'da Emrullah Efendi'den sonra "Tarih-i Hikmet" dersleri Ahmed Midhat tarafından yürütülmüştür. Ahmed Midhat'm bu dersler ekseninde hazırladığı Tarih-i Hikmet başlıklı metinler, ülkemizde felsefede modem tarihyazımı geleneği açısından öncü girişimlerdir. Bu metinlerde karşımızda duran "gazeteci", "fıkra muharriri" ve "polemikçi" değil, Dârülfünun kürsüsünde ders veren "akademik" kimlikli bir Ahmed Midhat'tır.
Abstract
This study examines the contribution of Ahmed Midhat, who is one of the pivotal figures of Turkish thought after Tanzimat, to the reconstruction process of philosophy in Turkey with modern achievements, especially the texts of the history of philosophy prepared in the trajectory of the courses of "Tarih-i Hikmet" given by him in Dârülfunun in the last few years of his life during the II. Constitutional Monarchy. Viewed as a whole, Ahmed Midhat, who is one of the founding actors of the modern philosophy in Turkey, is the person who published the most in the field of philosophy in the country until his death in 1912. It can be argued that the polemics -despite their naive character- produced by his journalist-identity while dealing with the Western concepts and issues in his works are the first examples of modern philosophical criticism in Turkey. In Dârülfunun, which had the program covering the history of philosophy with the courses entitled "İlm-i Hikmet" and "Tarih-i İlm-i Hikmet" delivered by Emrullah Efendi during the period of the II. Constitutional Monarchy, the courses of "Tarih-i Hikmet" were carried out by Ahmed Midhat after Emrullah Efendi. The texts entitled "Tarih-i Hikmet" prepared by Ahmed Midhat in the trajectory of these courses are pioneering initiatives in terms of the tradition of modern historiography in philosophy in our country. Standing before us in these texts is not Ahmed Midhat as a "journalist", "columnist", and "polemicist", but Ahmed Midhat teaching in the pulpit of Dârülfünun with an "academic" identity.
