Çağdaş Mimarlıkta ‘Tekrar’ Üzerine Bir Değerlendirme

Özet

Mimarlık ve kavramlar arasındaki ilişki tarihsel süreçte çeşitli anlatımlarla tanımlanmakta ve yorumlanmaktadır. Mimari kavramlara yön veren felsefi oluşumlar da bu çalışmanın hareket noktalarından biridir. Mimarlık için de tekrar kavramı, değişen düşünsel ve biçimsel değerlendirmelerle tarihte ifade bulmuştur. Bu çalışmada tekrarın güncel mimarlıktaki yeri sorunsallaştırılarak, Gilles Deleuze’ün felsefesinde tekrar söylemi üzerinden biçimsel bir okuma üretmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu noktada ilk olarak, Deleuze’ün tekrara getirdiği söylemler ışığında çalışmanın kavramsal çerçevesi kurulmuştur. İkinci olarak, tekrarın tasarım düşüncesindeki değişimini görmek açısından mimarlıkta tekrarın genel bir değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Son olarak da bazı çağdaş mimarların tekrar söylemleri ile kavrama dair değişim tartışılmıştır. Özellikle Deleuze’ün tekrar yaklaşımına referans veren çağdaş mimarlık yaklaşımları ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada tekrarın mimarlık için yeni anlamı, sunduğu bakış açısı ve mimarlıkta yaratıcı düşünceye katkısı çağdaş mimarların tasarım yaklaşımları ile okunarak değerlendirilmiştir. Buradan hareketle tekrardaki farkı ortaya çıkarmak çağdaş mimarlıkta tasarım yaklaşımlarında bir ifade biçimine dönüştüğü gözlemlenmiştir.

Abstract

The relationship between architecture and concepts is defined and interpreted in various historical accounts. Philosophical formations that direct architectural concepts are one of the starting points of this study. The concept of repetition has also found expression for architecture, with changing intellectual and formal evaluations. In this study, it was aimed to produce a formal reading through Deleuze's repetition, repetition by questioning the place in contemporary architectural creation. In the light of the discourses Deleuze brought back, the conceptual framework of the study was established. In this point, firstly a general evaluation of repetition in architecture was made in order to see the change in the design thinking. Secondly, the change in the repetition is examined with some contemporary architects' rhetoric. In particular, the works of contemporary architects, which refer to Deleuze's approach or accord with his discourse, are dealt with. The new meaning of the repetition, the new point of view and the contribution to creative thinking for architecture have been evaluated by reading with the contemporary architects' discourses. From this point of view revealing the difference in repetition has turned into an expression in design approaches in contemporary architecture.
