Özet
Bu incelemede, Bartın ili KD’sunda Kirlik, Karainler, Doğaşı ve Yeşil Kambur civarında yüzeyleyen ve çalışma alanında geniş yayılım gösteren Akveren Formasyonu’nun Kampaniyen-Maastrihtiyen planktonik foraminifer biyostratigrafisi çalışılmıştır. Akveren Formasyonu’nda dört adet stratigrafik kesit ölçülmüş, 83 tortul kayaç örneğinin kapsadığı 14 planktonik foraminifer cins ve 44 türü tanımlanmış olup, 7 planktonik foraminifera biyozonu saptanmıştır. Alt Kampaniyen’de Globotruncanita elevata, Globotruncana ventricosa, Üst Kampaniyen’de Radotruncana calcarata, Globotruncanella havanensis, Globotruncana aegyptiaca, Üst Kampaniyen’in üstü-Üst Maastrihtiyen’in alt seviyelerinde Gansserina gansseri ile Üst Maastrihtiyen’de Abathomphalus mayaroensis biyozonları tanımlanmıştır.
Abstract
In this research, the Campanian-Maastrichtian planktonic foraminifera biostratigraphy of the Akveren Formation, which is exposed over large areas in the Kirlik, Karainler, Doğaşı and Yeşil Kambur areas WE of Bartın, was studied. Four stratigraphy sections in the Akveren Formation were measured. 14 planktonic foraminifera genera and 44 planktonic foraminifera species of 83 sedimentary samples were described and 7 planktonic biozones were determined. In the Lower Campanian Globotruncanita elevata, Globotruncana ventricosa was found, in the Upper Campanian Radotruncana calcarata, Globotruncanella havanensis and Globotruncana aegyptiaca were identified, and in the Uppermost Campanian-Lower Upper Maastrichian Gansserina gansseri within the Upper Maastrichtian Abathomphalus mayaroensis biozones were determined.
