İki bakım tanımladık: doğrultucu bakım ve koruyucu bakım. Biz daha çok güvenirliliğin arttığı ve beklenen maliyetin azaldığı koruyucu bakım ile ilgileneceğiz. Yaş yer değiştirme modellerinde; bir ünite, hangisi önce olursa, başarısızlık durumunda ve ya belli bir to yaşında değiştirilir. Bu şekildeki bir reneval süreç , { $x_t, t-0$ } (k = 1,2,...) varışlar arası zaman ile bir truncated renewal süreç olur. Böyle bir sürecin stokastik davranışın renewal sürecin sonuçları kullanılarak analiz edilebilir. Barlow - Proschan (1965-1975).
Abstract
We have introduced two maintenance: corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance. We are very much interested with the preventive maintenance by which the reliability is increased and the expected cost is reduced. In an age replacement model, a unit is replaced upon failure or at age $t_0$ , whichever comes first. Such a renewal process become a truncated renewal process with interarrival time ${ X_k, t_0}$ (k= 1,2,...). The stochastic behavior of such a process can be analyzed by using the results of renewal process. Barlow-Proschan (1965,1975).
