Özet
Ba anitis kıscrotika obliterans (BKO) tanımlanan üç olguda bu patoloji için en sık kullanılan topikal tedavilerden biri olan testosteron ve steroid karışımını uzun süreli uyguladık. Bu olguların ikisinde mea ve üretra darlığı da teşhis edildiği için tedaviye intraüretral uygulanabilen steroidler de eklendi. 23 ay boyunca bu tedavi ile izlediğimiz olgularda iyi bir remisyon sağlandı ve ciddi hiçbir yan etki görülmedi. Kronik seyirl i ve nüks edebilen BKO için, kolay uygulanan, ucuz ve uzun süre kullanılabilen bu tedavi seçeneğinin uygun olduğunu düşünmekteyiz.
Abstract
Balanitis xerotica obliterans (BXO) is known as end-stage of lichen sclerosis in male genitalia. We attempted to treat BXO with topical treatment 3 cases with BXO were treated with topical corticosteroid and testosterone and long term followed-up. Intraurethral corticosteroid was also used for meatal stenosis and urethra! stricture of the two cases among these three. All patients were followed-up for 23 months. An asymptomatic period was achieved in all patients at the end of the treatment and there was not any side effect A low-priced and easily applicable treatment alternative that can be used for a long period should be the first choice for BXO, considering the recurrence and chronic nature.
