Abstract
In this study, high density fiberboard was manufactured by using dry process. The effects of press temperatureand pressure on physical and mechanical properties were investigated. The fibers were obtained from SFC MDFmill consisting of 70% Pinus spp. and 30% hardwoods. The laboratory conditions were as fallows; prestemperatures were 160-170-180-190 °C, pressure as 50-55 kg/cm2, total pressing time as 100 seconds. The HDFproduced had 5±0,2 mm and having the density of 1,02-1,12 g/cm3. The physical and mechanical properties ofthe panels were determined according to TS EN standards. It was found that increasing temperature and pressurehad positive effect on the properties.
