Özet
Aile, toplumsal yapının en temel kurumudur. Bireylerin evlilik yoluyla aile kurma kararı almasının nedenleri gibi boşanma yoluyla evliliği sonlandırmasının nedenleri de sosyal bilimciler açısından merak uyandıran bir konudur. Hem ulusal hem de uluslararası ölçekte yapılan incelemeler, boşanma oranlarındaki artışı çoğunlukla sanayileşmenin toplumsal yapı üzerinde yarattığı etkilere bağlamaktadır. Türkiye’de tarım toplumundan sanayi toplumuna geçişle birlikte hızla şehirleşme sürecine giren, geleneksel aile ve cinsiyet rollerinin değişim geçirdiği bir ülkedir. Bu değişim aile, evlilik ve boşanma gibi olgulara bakışta da önemli etkiler yaratmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de artan boşanma oranlarında etkili olan sosyoekonomik unsurları mekânsal ekonometri yardımı ile tespit etmektir. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda, ilköğretim veya alt eğitim seviyesi, işsizlik oranı ve doğurganlık hızı artışı boşanma hızını azaltıcı faktörler olarak bulunurken; GSYH, kadın istihdamı, hastalık, lise/MYO/lisans eğitim seviyeleri, suç artışı, internete erişim ve erkeklerin evlilikten memnuniyetsizliği boşanmayı arttırıcı unsurlar olarak tespit edilmiştir.
Abstract
Family is the primary institution of social structure. The reasons why an individual decides to get married and why she/he decides to get divorce have arose curiosity for social scientist. Both national and international scale analysis indicate that the increase in divorce rate is mostly related to the industrialization which has effect on the social structure. Turkey is one of the countries where traditional family and gender roles have changed through the shift from agricultural society to the industrial society which accompanied by high level of urbanization process. These changes have a significant impact on the family, marriage and divorce. The aim of this study is to determine the socioeconomic factors which are effective in increasing divorce rates in Turkey through spatial econometrics. As a result of study; primary or lower education level, unemployment rate, and fertility rates are found as factors that decrease the divorce rate. GDP, female employment, illness, high school education/ undergraduate education levels (associate or bachelor degree), increase in crime, access to internet, and dissatisfaction from marriage by men are important points for increasing divorce
