Özet
Spor alanında, (parasal veya diğer) menfaatlerin önemi son yıllarda büyük ölçüde artmıştır. Bu durum ve diğer bazı faktörler İsviçre'nin Lozan şehrinde bulunan Spor Tahkim Mahkemesi'ne (CAS) götürülen uyuşmazlıklarda artışa neden olmuştur. Spor uyuşmazlıklarıyla ilgilenen hukukçuların sayısı da artmaktadır. Amacı okuyucunun CAS tahkiminin değişik yönlerini ana hatlarıyla görmesini temin etmek olan bu makale, bu artan ilgiye dayanarak kaleme alınmıştır.
Abstract
In sports, the stakes (whether f inancial or otherwise) have dramatically increased in recent years. This and other f actors caused a rise in the number of disputes ref erred to the Court of Arbitration f or Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland. A rising number of practitioners are interested in sports disputes. Such interest has been taken as the basis f or this article, the purpose of which is to allow the reader to take a glance at the diff erent f eatures of CAS arbitration.
