Hemşirelik Birinci ve Dördüncü Sınıf Öğrencilerine Göre Hemşirelik İmajı

Özet

Bu araştırma, hemşirelik birinci ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerine göre hemşirelik imajını belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir Araştırmanın evrenini 2018- 2019 güz yarıyılında bir devlet üniversitesinin hemşirelik bölümü birinci ve son sınıfta öğrenim gören öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada herhangi bir örneklem seçim yöntemine gidilmeden, uygulamanın yapıldığı süreçte araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 137 öğrenciyle araştırma tamamlanmıştır. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından literatür doğrultusunda hazırlanan anket formu ve ‘Hemşirelik İmajı Ölçeği (HİÖ)’ ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizi SPSS 20 programında yapılmıştır. Veriler, tanımlayıcı istatistikler, t testi ve ANOVA testleriyle değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 20.27±1.95, .%78.1’i kadın, % 94.2’si bekâr, %80.3’ü il merkezinde yaşadığını belirtmişlerdir. Katılımcıların %53.3’ünü dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. HİÖ’den alınan toplam puan ortalaması birinci sınıf öğrencilerinde 70.17±5.97, dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinde 73.56±5.12 olarak bulunmuştur. Bu sonuç doğrultusunda hemşirelik eğitimi sürecinde hemşirelik imajı ile ilgili olumlu gelişmeler sağlandığı görülmektedir. Buna karşın hemşireliğin toplum içerisindeki imajının da geliştirilmesi için ileri çalışmaların planlanması onların danışmanlarının kendilerine rol modellik yapması önerilebilir.

Abstract

This research was carried out as a descriptive in order to determine the image of nursing according to the first and fourth grade students of nursing. The research was completed with 137 students who agreed to participate in the study during the application without any sample selection method. The data were collected with the questionnaire form prepared by the researcher in line with the literature and the “Nursing Image Scale (SCQ)”. The data were analyzed in SPSS 20 program. Data were evaluated with descriptive statistics, t test and ANOVA tests. The average age of the students participating in the study was 20.27 ± 1.95, 78.1% stated that they wer e women, 94.2% were single and 80.3% lived in the city center. Fourth grade students constituted 53.3 of the participants. The total score average obtained from the SCQ was found to be 70.17 ± 5.97 in first grade students and 73.56 ± 5.12 in fourth grade students. Based on the findings, by the education some development related to the nursing image were occured. However in order to have understanding in development in nursing immages in the society aswell some further studies could be planned. Also It can be suggested that faculty members, their advisers can be role models in the development of the nursing image of the students.
