Bir Kredi Yurtlar Kurumunda Kalan Kız Öğrencilerin Genital Sağlık Durumu ve Etkileyen Faktörler

Özet
Amaç: Kredi Yurtlar Kurumu'na bağlı bir öğrenciyurdunda kalan kız öğrencilerin genital sağlıkdurumları ve etkileyen faktörleri değerlendirmektir. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı türde olan araştırma, 20-25Haziran 2015 tarihleri arasında, Kredi Yurtlarkurumunda 465 kız öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür.Araştırmanın verileri, yüz yüze görüşme tekniği ileKız Öğrencilerin Genital Sağlık Durumları veEtkileyen Faktörlere İlişkin Soru Formu kullanılaraktoplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS programındasayı, yüzdelikler ve ki kare önemlilik testi kullanılarakanaliz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 21,42±1,74olup, %60,6'sı haftada üç kez banyo yaptığını,%41,2'si haftada üç kez iç çamaşır değiştiğini,%18,7'si adet döneminde banyo yapmadığını;%47,5'i günlük ped kullandığını ifade etmiştir.Öğrencilerin %72,7'sinin tuvalete girmeden önceellerini yıkamadağı ve %38,5'inin genital bölgeyiuygun biçimde temizlemediği görülmüştür.Öğrenciler son bir yıllık süre içinde idrar yaparkenyanma ve ağrı (%69,7), beyaz peynir kesiğinebenzer kaşıntılı akıntı (%72,9) ve yeşil/sarı renktekötü kokulu akıntı sorunu (%20,9) yaşadığınıbildirmiştir. Genital akıntısı olan öğrencilerinçoğunluğu doktora gitmediğini ifade etmiştir. Sonuç: Yurtta kalan kız öğrencilerin genital sağlık vehijyene ilişkin sorunlarının olduğu görülmüştür
Abstract
Aim: The aim of the study was to assess the genitalhealth status among female students staying in adormitory of Students Loans and DormitoriesInstitution and affecting factors.Method: This descriptive study was conducted in adormitory of Students Loans and DormitoriesInstitution with the participation of 465 femalestudents on June 20-25, 2015. The research datawere collected through face-to-face interviews usinga Questionnaire on Genital Health Status amongFemale Students and Affecting Factors. These datawere analysed using numbers, percentages and chisquare significance tests in SPSS software.Findings: The mean age of the students was21.42±1.74. According to their statements, of therespondents, 60,6 % was taking a bath three timesa week, 41,2% was changing their underwear threetimes a week, 18,7 % wasn't taking bath duringmenstruation and 47,5% was using daily pads. Itwas seen that 72,7% of the students wasn'twashing their hands before going to the toilet and38,5% of them wasn't cleaning their genital areaproperly. The students reported that they hadburning sensation and pain during urination (69,7%), itchy, white, cottage cheese-like vaginaldischarge (72,9 %) and yellow or green colored,foul-smelling discharge (20,9 %) during the last oneyear period. The majority of the students havingvaginal discharge stated that they have not seen aphysician.Conclusion: It was found that the female studentsstaying in the dormitory experienced some problemsregarding genital health and hygiene
