Bu makale Londra Metropolitan Polisinin kuruluşundan sonraki olayları ve kanuni süreci ele almaktadır. Bu çalışma o dönemde çıkan kanunun birçok aşamasını ve Meclis Soruşturma Komitelerini incelemektedir. Ayrıca Peel’in Birleşik Krallıktaki polisliğin “modern” bir tarzda kurulmasındaki devam eden rolüne bakmaktadır.
Abstract
This article will examine the events and legislation following the establishment of the Metropolitan Police of London. This piece will study several pieces of legislation and the Parliamentary Committees of Inquiry of this era. It will also look at the continuing role Peel played, in opposition, in the establishment of a “Modern” style of policing in the United Kingdom.
