Abstract

In this study to identify the traditional structure of hicaz maqam from ismail Dede Efendi to Avni Anil. the analysis of fifty Hicaz songs between the years 1778-1928 that belongs to different composers is performed and the notes and sound interval is identified and according to this, the existence of some melodical pattern in hicaz songs are determined.
