KONUT TASARIMINDA FORMSUZLUK

Özet

Mimari form, yapının işlevine uygun ve mimarın kavramsal yaklaşımı doğrultusunda binanın biçimlendirilme sürecinin sonucudur. Modern mimaride sıkça karşımıza çıkan geometrik formlar, mekânın fiziksel yönünü araştıran ve modern mimariyi eleştiren mimarlar, araştırmacılar tarafından irdelenmiştir. Dik açılı formların kullanıcıyı disipline etmek ve kul- lanıcı davranışını düzenlemek üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiş, karşıt bir yaklaşım olarak formsuzluk kavramı geliştirilmiştir. Maddenin şekil verilmemiş veya doğanın müdahale edilmemiş halinin ‘formsuz’ olarak tanımlandığı göz önüne alın- acak olursa, herhangi bir mimari tasarımın formsuz olabilmesi mümkün gözükmemektedir. Ancak Bataille ya da Bre- ton gibi pek çok düşünür ‘formsuz’ kavramını kullanmıştır. Kelimeye yüklenen birinci anlam üzerinden değil; form ve formsuzluk kelimelerine atfedilen anlam üzerinden değerlendirmişlerdir. Formsuz kavramını toplumsal kategorileri si- likleştirme, sınırları yok etme, temsilleri geçersiz kılma anlamıyla kullanarak ‘form’ kavramının karşısına koymuşlardır. Bu ampirik çalışmada formsuzluk kavramı konut mimarisi özelinde tartışılmış ve üç ayrı konut tasarımı üzerinden in- celenmiştir. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden genel tarama modeli ile çalışma yürütülerek bir yargıya varmak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma nesnesi olarak seçilen Vetsch Evleri, Sonsuz Ev ve Deniz Kabuğu Evi’nde formsuzluk kavramı, Bataille ve Bre- ton’un tanımları doğrultusunda araştırılmış ve kullanıcı üzerinde algısal yönden yaratması beklenen etki tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract

The architectural form is the result of the building’s shaping process in accordance with the function of the build- ing and in accordance with the conceptual approach of the architect. The geometric forms, which are frequently en- countered in modern architecture, and the architects who research the physical aspect of the space and criticize the modern architecture, were examined by the researchers. The effect of rectangular forms on disciplining the user and regulating the user behavior was examined, and the concept of formlessness was developed as an opposing approach. Many thinkers such as Bataille or Breton used the concept of formless. It is not the first meaning loaded into the word; they evaluated the meaning attributed to form and formlessness. They put the concept of formless against the concept of form by using social categories in terms of fading, eliminating boundaries, and overriding representations. In this empirical study, the concept of formlessness was discussed in terms of housing architecture and examined in three different housing designs. The aim of this study is to examine the general survey mod- el of qualitative research methods. The concept of formlessness in the Vetsch Houses, Endless House and the Nautilus House, which were chosen as research objects, were investigated according to the definitions of Bataille and Breton, and the effect that the perceptual effect was expected on the user was determined.
