Onikomikoz ön tanılı olgulardan izole edilen dermatofit türleri ve mantar kültürünün tanısal değeri

Bu çalışmada, Kocaeli Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Merkez Laboratuvarı Mikoloji Ünitesi'ne onikomikoz ön tanısı ile gönderilen 390 hastadan alınan örnekler direk mikroskopi ve kültür yöntemleriyle incelenmiştir. Direk mikroskobik incelemede mantar elemanları görülen 51 hastadan 21 'inin (%41.2) ve mantar elemanları görülmeyen 339 hastadan 32'sinin (%9.4) kültüründen dermatofit türleri izole edilmiştir. Dermatofitler arasında en sık izole edilen türün Trichophyton rubrum (%73.6) olduğu ve bunu Trichophyton mentagrophytes (%24.5) ve Microsporum canis'in (%1.9) izlediği saptanmıştır.
Abstract
In this study, the clinical specimens taken from 390 patients who were prediagnosed as onychomycosis have been investigated by direct microscopy and culture methods, in the Mycology Unit of Central Laboratory of Kocaeli University Medical Faculty. Twenty-one (41.2%) of the 51 microscopically positive samples revealed positive cultures for dermatophytes, whereas 32 (9.4%) samples were culture positive among the 399 samples which were microscopically negative. The most frequently isolated dermatophyte was found to be Trichophyton rubrum (73.6%), followed by Trichophyton mentagrophytes (24.5%) and Microsporum cam's (1.9%).
