Özet
Sektör retinitis pigmentoza anormal fundoskopik bulguların fundusun yalnızca sınırlı bir bölgesinde görüldüğü nadir bir retinitis pigmentoza formudur. Diyabetin oküler komplikasyonları göz önüne alındığında asimetrik tutulumun nadiren karşılaşılan bir durum olduğu görülür. Asimetrik diyabetik retinopati gelişiminde çeşitli lokal ve sistemik faktörlerin etkili olabileceği öne sürülmüştür. Çalışmamızda unilateral sektör retinitis pigmentoza ve asimetrik diyabetik retinopati gözlenen bir olgu sunulmuştur. Hastada gözlenen klinik bulgular, görme alanı ve elektrofizyolojik test sonuçları gözden geçirilmiştir. Sektör retinitis pigmentoza ve asimetrik diyabetik retinopati birlikteliği tartışılmıştır.
Abstract
Sector retinitis pigmentosa is a rare form of retinitis pigmentosa in which the abnormal fundoscopic findings are isolated to one segment of the fundus. With respect to the ocular complications of diabetes mellitus, asymmetry between eyes is the exception rather than the rule. Various local and systemic factors have been suggested to account for the development of asymmetric diabetic retinopathy. In this case report we present a patient with unilateral sector retinitis pigmentosa and asymmetric diabetic retinopathy. The clinical findings including visual fields and electrophysiologic tests are summarized. The association of sector retinitis pigmentosa and asymmetric diabetic retinopathy is discussed.
