Özet
Çift taraflı Brown Sendromu oldukça nadir görülen bir oküler hareket bozukluğudur. Klasik formunda addüksiyonda elevasyon kısıtlı iken, abdüksiyonda elevasyon normal veya normale yakındır. Ayrıca, zorlu düksiyon testinde, addükte göz eleve edilmek istendiğinde ciddi mekanik kısıtlılık olduğu saptanır. Bazı durumlarda addüksiyonda aşağı atım, kapak aralığında genişleme, primer pozisyonda hipotropya ve kompansatuar baş pozisyonu gibi değişken bulgular da tabloya eşlik edebilir. Olguların sadece %10-12.5' in de iki taraflı tutulum görülür. Bu çalışmada çift taraflı Brown Sendromu tanılı iki olgumuzun klinik özellikleri sunuldu ve cerrahi sonuçlar tartışıldı.
Abstract
Bilaretal Brown Syndrome is a rarely encountered ocular motility disorder. In its classical form, elevation is restricted in adduction, but normal or near normal in abduction. Besides, severe mechanical restriction is determined on attempts to elevate the adducted eye in forced duction test. Variable features such as downshoot in adduction, widening of lid fissure, hypotropia in primary position and compensatory head posture may accompany in some cases. Bilateral involvement is seen only in 10- 12.5% of cases. In this study, we present the clinical features and discuss the surgical results in two cases with bilateral Brown Syndrome.
