Özet
ÖZETrBu çalışmada, iki ayrı kaba yem formunun (kıyılmış ve doğal haldeki kuru çayır otu) Esmer buzağıların büyüme, gelişme ve yemden yararlanma özellikleri üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Kaba yem formunun doğum, sütten kesim, 4 ve 6 aylık devrelerde tespit edilen canlı ağırlıklar üzerine istatistiksel olarak önemli bir etkisi olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Doğum-sütten kesim, sütten kesim-4 ay, 4-6 aylık yaş devrelerinde kıyılma işleminin kuru çayır otu tüketimini önemli derecede (P<0.01) azalttığı, bu işlemin kesif yem tüketimi üzerine önemli bir etki yapmadığı saptanmıştır. Kıyılmış kuru çayır otu ile beslenen buzağılarda 1kg canlı ağırlık artışı için tüketilen kaba yem miktarının (kuru madde olarak) diğer gruba göre önemli derecede düşük (P<0.01) olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ancak, muamele grupları arasında 1 kg canlı ağırlık artışı için toplam yem tüketimi bakımından bulunan farkların doğum-4 aylık periyotta önemsiz, 4-6 aylık yaşlar arasında ise çok önemli (P<0.01) olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Abstract
In this study, the effect of two different forms of the forage (dry hay in chopped or natural forms) on the growth and feed efficiency characteristics of Brown Swiss calves were investigated. Forms of the forage did not have statistically significant effect on the live weights obtained at birth, weaning, 4 and 6 month of ages. In the periods between birth and weaning, weaning and 4 month of age, 4 and 6 months of ages, the chopping of the dry hay significantly lowered dry hay consumption, but the chopping process did not have significant effect on the consumption of the concentrate. Dry hay consumption per kg weight gain (as dry matter) of calves fed chopped hay were significantly (P<0.01) lower than these of the calves fed hay in natural form. However, the difference between treatment groups in terms of total feed consumption per kg weight gain were not significant between birth and 4 months of age and significant (P<0.01) between 4 and 6 months of ages.
